Jeff Gilbert — Editorial & Commercial Photographer
Jeff Gilbert is a London based photographer with more than 15 years experience. He has worked in editorial and commercial photography, specialising in portraiture, food, motoring and lifestyle features, world affairs, industrial and documentary photography.
After studying Design Photography at Berkshire Art College Jeff started his career as an assistant at Holborn Studios, North London working with some of Britain's elite photographers.
In 1995 Jeff's interest in current affairs led him to Fleet Street and whilst working for a short time with the Press Association he began to develop his passion for editorial photography. In 1996 he subsequently moved to join The Daily Telegraph then beginning what was to become a longstanding relationship covering assignments all over the world. These have included covering The Balkans Conflict, terrorism in the Yemen, Hamas officials in Gaza, Paris and Milan Fashion Weeks, TeamGB Woman's Olympic sailing training in Miami, the British Airways Cross Atlantic 50th Anniversary flight, the Porsche Cayman Launch in Portugal, Mali Musicians in Bamako, Norwegian soldiers deployed to Darfur and a Bollywood fantasy wedding in Antwerp.

This broad range of assignments has gained Jeff both the skills and experience to be able to produce high quality images in any given situation.
While based primarily in London, Jeff recently spent 3 years working and living in Norway. There he began to develop his commercial portfolio with projects for Rolls Royce, Aker Yards Shipbuilding and Tussa Energy, whilst still contributing to Aftenposten, MEMO Magazine, Dagbladet, 4-4-2 Magazine, and acting as a regional photographer for The Sunday Times and The Daily Telegraph.
Upon returning to London in 2006, Jeff now works as a freelance photographer in London, with regular clients in both the editorial and corporate sectors. These include regular contributions to BBC Magazines, Sky, The Daily Telegraph and several Scandinavian magazines and newspapers.
Jeff is a member of the British Association of Journalists and is available for both editorial and commercial commissions.
