Corporate Awards season began in full speed. There’s not been any time for website blog posts for the last weeks. Here though is a short one to show that I’m out there keeping busy shooting lots of corporate events in the capital City of London.
One of the more recent is the AVIVA Investors Sustainability Media Awards 2025
A lively event held in the City. Beginning as usual with a drinks and canapé reception where I unobtrusively moved around capturing the atmosphere. Then the AVIVA Investors CEO Mark Versey made a short opening key note speech.
Then it was onto the fast rolling awards ceremony. Here I always do my best to not hold up the flow of this part of the evening. I capture a quick photograph of the awards being presented without slowing up or stopping any of the process, then I position the winners for a very one or two second shot together with the CEO looking into the camera. These types of events are usually running on a tight schedule. With my experience of working as an editorial and events photographer I am very fast, and concentrate on keeping the evening flowing.
Once all the awards are presented then I quickly set up a group photograph – this is normally the most important photograph of the evening especially for social media purposes. Again I work fast, especially as by this point in the evening everyone generally wants to return to the drinks!
I always aim to produce a quick turnaround of the images. This is paramount when it comes to enabling my client to post a number of the images on social media. If there is an immediate priority then I can edit a small set on-site, then produce a larger, wider set of the final images the following day.
